My passion for postnatal support started after having my son in January 2020 and realising how little there was available for new families.
I gave birth to my son six weeks prior to the first COVID lockdown and living away from family and friends I felt incredibly isolated. I subsequently suffered from postpartum anxiety, rage and depression. After much work on my recovery, I decided I wanted to channel my newfound energy into supporting other families find their new ‘normal’ with a newborn. All children are different but we do have the innate ability to know what’s best for our child. However, we sometimes need some direction in order to build the confidence to trust ourselves.
My aim as a doula is to provide the support and information required to make the transition into motherhood/parenthood more seamless than it sometimes is. There are many gaps in postnatal support in our society and with lots of people living away from family and friends as well as very short statutory paternity leave, I endeavour to plug some of those gaps.

I live in Mid Sussex with my husband, son and daughter. When I’m not being dragged on a bouncy castle, being told to push the swing harder whilst shivering in the freezing cold or being asked by my son if he can watch “just one more thing”, I enjoy swimming, yoga, running and socialising for my own physical and mental well being.
